Welcome to the Earth Day edition of the Fairmount Free Press. Spring has finally arrived, and Philadelphia's vernal beauty is never more apparent than in Fairmount Park. It has been an exciting spring so far for the Conservancy, as we celebrate our supporters and enjoy the gift of the Park.

On Saturday, April 25th, Comcast is hosting a large-scale effort to clean up Hunting Park. Comcast Corporation founder Ralph Roberts and approximately 300 volunteers will be in attendence. Read more.
This month, we make a visit to Bartram's Garden in Southeast Philadelphia. Built and cultivated in the early 18th century by John Bartram, it is the first botanical garden of its kind in America.
